Last I heard, George Bush passed a law regarding interest rates for home loans. Can someone explain to me?

I don’t know if the law was passed, but the point was to freeze intrest rates for people with adjustable rate mortgages for a period of time.

It wasn’t a law, it was a voluntary agreement with lenders.

The Executive Branch (the President) does not create laws. Only the Legislative Branch (Congress and the Senate) can do that. The President has power to sign their bills into law or veto them.

As for the law about home loans - I haven’t heard anything definite about that.
